The Critical Language Scholarship Program (CLS) provides a fully funded intensive language study during the summer to a diverse group of students at every level of language learning. Students must be enrolled at the time of application. The opportunity is offered by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affair with the goal of broadening the base of Americans studying and mastering critical languages and to build relationships between the people of the United States and other countries.…Find out more »
The Class of 1938 Fellowship provides a $5000 award for sophomores and juniors to complete a non-credit-bearing global opportunity abroad during the summer. Supported by an endowment from the University of North Carolina’s Class of 1938, a class that matured during the second World War, a period characterized by immense loss of life, world-wide suffering, and devastation.
