Faculty Working Groups
To foster innovative and interdisciplinary research, the Center for Global Initiatives funds an array of faculty working groups. These groups pursue a range of activities including meeting regularly to critique scholarly works, hosting visiting speakers, developing grant proposals, and embedding research into the curriculum.
Currently, the Center for Global Initiatives supports groups working on the following topics:

2) (Re)thinking Engagement and Activism in Research
3) Regional Economic Development
4) Humanities in the Global American South
5) Population, Health, and the Environment in the Galapagos Islands
6) Contemporary Islamic Thinkers
