Gail Hollander
is Associate Professor in the Department of International
Relations at Florida International University. Prof.
Hollander's research interests include Economic Geography,
World Food System Theory, Geography of Florida and the
Caribbean, Feminist Geography, Regional Development,
Agro-Environmental Conflict. She is currently a Ciriacy-Wantrup
Fellow at UC Berkeley.
This
Sawyer Seminar, funded by the Mellon Foundation, includes a year-long
series of working group meetings
and mini-conferences on the central theme of globalization and
the land. It is hosted by UNC's Center for Global Initiatives.
