The GO! Global Orientation on Culture and Ethics Initiative is a cross-campus collaboration to provide students with a cultural and ethical framework for conducting service, service-learning, research, or an internship in developing communities.
Each spring, a pre-departure orientation is held complete with regional breakout sessions, and a menu of workshops to provide students with a strong knowledge-base of the myriad ethical and cultural issues that may be present during their upcoming global experience. Further, students have the opportunity to network with other students traveling abroad, as well as faculty and staff experts.
In the fall, a re-entry event is held to help students both connect their global experience with their home community and to discuss strategies for readjustment.
