University of North Carolina Center for Global Initiatives

The Center for Global Initiatives is the institutional home to a wide variety of innovative programs managed by a dedicated staff. 

The Rotary Peace Center trains professionals from around the world, while Carolina Navigators and the Scholars' Latino Initiative engage classrooms across North Carolina. 

Carolina for Kibera and the Latino Migration Project connect faculty and students to compelling community work. 

Programs such as GO!, Languages Across the Curriculum, the Certificate in International Development, and the Institute for Sustainable Development are geared toward professional development and career advancement. And Global Music and the Photo Contest are just a lot of fun.

All of these programs reflect our entrepreneurial and nimble approach to fostering deeper knowledge and understanding of our complex world.
