UNC students, faculty, alumni and staff are invited to submit up to three photos representing any world region as a part of the annual Carolina Global Photo Competition. There is no restriction on the period in which the photograph was taken, and travel need not have been connected to a program at UNC. The Passport to Go! program provides funding for first-year or new transfer students to obtain their first U.S. passport. Applications from students who otherwise would not be able to afford the cost of a passport are prioritized, and we are specifically targeting students traditionally underrepresented in global opportunities (read more about our Opening Access initiative here).
