Tripp joined the Center for Global Initiatives in June of 2008 and now serves as a Program Officer as well asFulbright Program Adviser for UNC-Chapel Hill. In addtion to the Fulbright U.S. Student Program, he manages many of the Center's non-Federal opportunities including the International Internship Award, CV Starr Scholarship, Carolina Undergraduate Health Fellowship and Pre-Dissertation Travel Award. In addition, Tripp manages data and is the Center's graphic designer.
His passion for travel and all things global started at an early age: He has a sister (and now an adorable niece and nephew) in London and he’s traveled extensively in Europe. He hopes to have the chance to travel to Russia, Latin America, as well as North Africa in the future.
Tripp earned a BFA in Printmaking from UNC-Chapel Hill, and currently resides in Durham with his partner and dog. His interests include knocking down walls, baking, and almost anything DIY.
